Shelly K. Mincy, MSW, LCSW
Shelly Mincy has been in private practice working with children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 20 years. She is a licensed clinical social worker and also a qualified supervisor, able to provide supervision for interns seeking licensure through the Florida Department of Health. Shelly has completed the Level 1 training for EMDR.
Shelly works with children and adolescents who are experiencing depression, anxiety (fears and phobias), school problems, autism spectrum disorders, and ADHD. Shelly has worked with divorced families on co-parenting in order to provide kids with the best possible adjustment to the life transition. She also works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
Shelly received her bachelors degree in social work from the University of Georgia and a masters degree in social work from The Florida State University. She has lived in Tallahassee for over 15 years, is married with two children and two dogs.
Leslie S. Clark, MSW, LCSW
Leslie S. Clark obtained her Master’s in Social Work degree from Florida State University. She has been providing therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults with an emphasis on trauma, anxiety & depression, attachment injuries, and parenting challenges for the past 18 years. Leslie is a Certified EMDR therapist and an Approved EMDR Consultant. She has received a great deal of specialty training in using EMDR with children & adolescents. She is skilled at working with clients that have complicated PTSD or complex trauma. Leslie enjoys working with the parent – child relationship and works with attachment challenges in relationships. She has experience with adoption. She also works with couples, using EFT (Emotion Focused Couples Therapy), which addresses the attachment “dance” in relationships and helps to build a positive emotional connection.
Leslie completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She had a concentration in Behavior Analysis. She has lived in the Tallahassee Area for the past 21 years. She has been married for 29 years and has one child.
Leslie is available for consultation sessions for EMDR therapists that are interested in advancing their skills in EMDR or becoming a Certified EMDR Therapist. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns.
Chrissy Houlios Miller, MSW, LCSW
Chrissy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns. She obtained her master’s degree from Florida State University. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida.
Chrissy has been in private practice for over 10 years, specializing in anxiety disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, depression, and ADHD (evaluation and treatment). Chrissy is an EMDR Level II therapist and is currently working towards certification in EMDR. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Clinical Social Work Interns. Chrissy works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Prior to private practice, Chrissy worked as a victim advocate with FSU and served as a Guardian ad Litem. She also has significant experience and training in family violence. Chrissy is married and has two small children and a dog.
Mike Mincy, MSW, LCSW
Mike Mincy is a licensed clinical social worker. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University and has recently joined our practice in 2018. Mike has been providing counseling to older teens, families, couples and adults with a focus on anxiety, trauma, behavioral issues, divorce, family conflict, peer issues, grief, parenting and depression for 7 years. He uses CBT, EMDR, and the integrative family systems theory, along with other solution-based practices. In his free time, Mike enjoys fishing, running, spending time with his family, reading, playing video games, and is a Star Wars fanatic.
